Incredible food and the loudest message that customers really matter

Bang in the middle of Southville, our bar restaurant is already notching up a reputation for delivering the neighbourhood’s most exceptional food and for welcoming people who know this is the friendliest place to meet. Our team has a knack for making everyone feel special.

As well as consistently excellent breakfast lunch and dinner menus, we love to lay on special treats and events – from hog roasts to barbecues to paellas, all freshly prepared outdoors in front of customers, there’s always the buzz of something fresh and new to enjoy.

North Street’s reputation as South Bristol’s Gloucester Road demands trailblazing cuisine at modest prices – and this is where we excel. Our menus reflect our pleasure in preparing fresher-than-fresh ingredients which – where possible – having travelled just a stone’s throw from here to your plate.

Our fish is from Brixham and delivered daily. Artisan baker Mark of Mark’s Bread is also on North Street and brings his incredible handmade sourdough loaves to us every day by bicycle. His pizza dough is also delivered daily, making our handmade stonebaked gourmet pizzas the best in the area.

And then, something different. Everybody loves a steak, but a truly exceptional steak is something you normally expect to pay a king’s ransom for. Not at the Terrace, thanks to Pampas Plains.

The taste of freedom
A perfect steak comes from a quality animal reared on the best food in a naturally favourable environment. Our commitment to finding that winning combination led us to Pampas Plains.

‘Best steak I’ve had in Bristol’
That’s the verdict of one of our regular steak customers and the fact that people keep coming back for more proves it’s no flash-in-the-pan.

Aberdeen Angus cattle roam the fertile plains of the Argentine Andes pampas, 365 days of the year, feeding naturally on the mineral-rich coarse pampas grass. It’s this grass, along with the free range life and unique maturing process that gives Pampas Plains’ steak its flavour and sweet succulence. Our Sunday roast menu includes slow roasted Argentine top rump a cut of superb quality, giving you a meal unsurpassed in the city.
